Norman Mawethu Mjangeka


Norman Mawethu Mjangeka has played professional football for Orlando Pirates and with the money he earned he bought an acoustic guitar and the music tutorials in form of books and started self taught studies. In 1987 he joined music quartet and became the lead singer for the band that was known as Safrika from Eastern Cape. In 1997 he was nominated and elected to be Mogale City Arts and Culture Chairperson.

Norman also invested R56 000.00 to set up a backyard music recording studio in the west Rand/Kagiso, his company first music production created international demand taking them to Manilla(Philippines), Madagascar and Madrid(Spain). His aim and objective is to strive for mass participation and unity for the development and job creation for the Arts society nationally, especially in the West Rand/Gauteng.
